The Hernando Fire Department is a professional, full-service agency providing excellent fire and emergency medical services  for the citizens of Hernando. In addition to service to our community, the Hernando Fire Department is also very actively involved with educational activities at the local, county, regional, state and federal levels. These activities provide service to our community in areas such as mutual aid, incident management, technical rescue, emergency management and urban search and rescue.
